This is my 2cents on the evian brumisateur, essentially fancy french water in a spray can.
The bottle I have is 400ml and it goes for 15 or 18$$ CAD. Firstly, let me say I realize how ridiculously over priced this shit is but everyone's entitled to their own overpriced guilty pleasures.
I've had my bottle since summer 2008 spraying a light mist once a day and it feels like I still have lots left.
What it's supposed to do:
"Used regularly, throughout the summer and winter, the evian skin care atomizer helps to moisturize the outer layers of hte skin helping it to better withstand every day wear and tear. Due to the characteristic mineral composition and neutral pH of evian natural mineral water the evian skin care atomizer refreshes and invigorates all skin types. It is particularly recommened for expectant mothers, for infants and for babies."
What I use it for:
- In the winters when my skin is dry I give a light mist at night before I go to bed and I wake up with noticely supple skin
- I spray this when I get bored and sticky in the summers
- Recently I've been setting my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer + BB cream combo with this, what I do is I spray it all over my face lightly let it sit for 10-15 seconds and I blot the excess off with a facial tissue (tapping lightly with facial tissue all over face). I don't know if this actually helps to set my tinted moisturizer but I do know it brings the dewy-ness of my tinted moisturizer back after I have powdered.
- I have tried setting my mineral foundations (BM and EDM) with this to take away the cake-iness of it with no avail. I think the minerals in this water don't combine well with the mineral foundations, it makes my foundation glitter. like actually glitter. So I don't use this to set my minerals.
* I've read on makeupalley that people just buy evian bottled water and put it in a spray can, I've never personally tried this but I don't think that the fine mist that this aerosol can produces can be duped.
What overly priced beauty products do you girls succumb in to purchasing?
